About Us

Sebei Tourism Initiative is a fully registered organization with the relevant authorities in the country with a specialty area of Conservation and Sustainable Tourism Development and Promotion in Sebei Sub Region particularly in the districts of Bukwo, Kween and Kapchorwa.

Sebei Tourism Initiative is established to bring together all actors to develop and promote conservation and sustainable tourism development across the Sebei Sub region.

What We Do

Objectives of the Initiative:

⦁ To act as a platform to bring together all tourism actors across the region to forge ways of developing the sector.

Scope of work:

⦁ Tourism product development and promotion: The initiative aims to expand and introduce new and exciting tourism attractions and activities to the tourism market through tourism product development across the region and encourage the development of these unique and authentic tourism products based on the community’s strengths, traditions, and natural assets hence contribution to the tourism value chain across Sebei subregion especially the mighty Mt. Elgon National Park, Sipi Falls.

Initiative Activities:

⦁ Tourism Infrastructure Development: ⦁ Improve key tourist access points such as roads, walking trails, scenic view points and eco-friendly accommodations near popular tourist sites especially the falls and caves. ⦁ Install interpretive signage at cultural and historical sites, providing visitors with educational information about the significance of these locations.
